The English alphabet has 26 letters
In “alphabetical order”, they are:
a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r,s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z.
5 Vowels:
Five of the letters are “vowels“, and these are sounds that stretch.
These 5 vowels are i,o,u, a,e (e (use this mnemonic phrase structure as a quick tip to remember them: ” I owe You A E” in the same way as when you say “ I owe you a dollar.”)
21 Consonants:
The remaining twenty-one letters are “consonants“.These are sounds that stop.
A consonant is a sound that is made by blocking the flow of air while speaking, whereas vowels are sounds that are made with the mouth open and the airway unobstructed.
We can write each letter as a “large letter” (also known as capital ex: A, B, C…) or “small letter” (also known as lowercase ex: a,b,c…
