- Collective nouns refer to groups of people or things, e.g. audience, family, government, team, jury, or crew
- In American English, most collective nouns are treated as singular, with a singular verb:
The whole family was at the table.
7.Plural-Only Nouns
- This is a small group of nouns that are always plural, such as trousers, boxers, headphones, belongings.
- Example: Can I borrow your headphones to listen to this song, please?
