Possessive case pronouns

  • They are used to show ownership.
  •  They are my, mine, your, yours, his, her, hers, its, our, ours, your, yours, their,theirs. and whose.

Let’s Practice!

  • I have a red car.

You can rephrase this sentence as such:

My car is red.

The word ‘My’ is a Possessive  Adjective. We called it adjective because it describes the word /noun ‘car’.

The red car is mine.

The word ‘mine’ is a Possessive pronoun.

Here I opted to put the personal(both subject and object forms), possessive ( pronouns & Adjective forms ), and reflexive pronouns in one table since they are very related.
