The correct spelling of plural nouns usually depends on what letter the singular noun ends in.
Basic Regular Plural Noun Rules!
If a noun ends in
S, SS, X, Z, Ch, Or SH
you need to add –es at the end of the root word.

More than one dish ? : dishes
More than one bus ? : buses
More than one kiss ? : kisses
More than one fox ? : foxes
More than one buzz ? : buzzes (bee sound)
Please Note!
In some cases, singular nouns ending in -s or -z, require that you double the -s or -z before adding the -es for pluralization.
